Class System

Let's start with entities that once lived on earth.

When an entity perishes (this includes mortal, creatures, etc) it presents a spiritual energy - as I've stated in other articles humans leave these spiritual stains thoughout their lives and one stain can be more energetic than another... and for most creatures this can happen but I have found with creatures the most significant and meaningful spiritual energy is created at time of death.

The spirits of humans passed can be bound to multiple vessels and still have presence in locations all across the Earth. However, for example, Jane Doe's essence of spirit that is bound in conjuration may not be as powerful a presence as the conjurer who bound Jane Doe's essence at her former home. This case of multiple binding is only present in human entities as human's leave pieces of themselves throughout their life.

Entities that were born or given life on the Spiritual plane or Astral planes also leave energy trails and stains within their realms but those spirits are bound in their entirety, like all entities (except humans) from Earth.

When an entity is called and is present for binding these factors come into play regarding class level:

* the level of the conjurer's experience dictates the class rating at which the entity is bound
* the strength of the spiritual energy presenting itself
* the method used to bind the entity

You could have a Dragon spirit that presents at a class 5 but the conjurer is only capable of binding a class 3 so the Dragon's spirit will only present in the vessel as a class 3. Is it possible if the conjurer continues to work on their trade they can re-bind the Dragon at a later date and bring the spiritual presence to a class 4 or 5.

There are many methods and invocations to bind entities and some are much more effective than others... and again, you can re-bind to achieve the spirit's greatest capability.

Immortals are the only entity that does not have to be release and re-bound. With Immortals you can strengthen their presence within the vessel without having to re-bind by simple reciting the invocation over and over. As you grow as a conjurer the strength of the words of the invocation will grow and thus the Immortal's connection with you.

It is possible to strengthen a spirit once you own it. This can be achieved through association and affiliation with higher classed spirits in your collection and your work with the spirit. It doesn't happen every time and with some entities it is not possible at all but I have found with Angels, Dragons, and Fae they can achieve a half to whole class rating improvement through work and affiliation with other spirits of higher classes.

The Class Rating System

Class I
- Spirit/Spells/Magic contained within slightly noticeable. Typically only revealed when beckoned and results vary in intensity. Strong and can be found in almost everyone's home. With such a light imprint of the person, being or magic it even commonly found in coins and cash in almost anyone's pocket.

Class II
- Spirit/Spells/Magic noticeable. Can be revealed when beckoned or may reveal itself to the owner during times of bonding and or when an opportunity or danger is present. Very strong and can be found in great number through brokers, venues of the like and antique stores.

Class III
- Spirit/Spells/Magic very noticeable. Presence can be felt by owner when holding, wearing or near the object. Powerful and can be found through brokers, venues of the like and antique stores.

Class IV
- Spirit/Spells/Magic higly noticeable. Presence can be felt strongly by owner when holding, wearing or near the object. Can move by itself, effect the moods, thoughts, feelings and emotions of others. Able to penetrate a target up to 200 miles away. Intensely powerful and typically only owned by collectors.

Class V
- Spirit/Spells/Magic physically and/or spiritually present. Object effects emotions, senses, motor skills, thoughts and mood of not only the owner but those around the object. The object can be used as a portal to inflict or bestow the powers contained within to others as far as a 1,000 miles away. Can move by itself and can move objects near it. Incredibly powerful and rare.

Class V, tier 2
- Spirit/Spells/Magic physically and/or spiritually present. Object effects emotions, senses, motor skills, thoughts and mood of not only the owner but those around the object. The object can be used as a portal to inflict or bestow the powers contained within to others as far as a 2,000 miles away. Can move by itself and can move objects near it. Incredibly powerful and rare, is a considerable step above the class 5.

Class V, tier 3
- Spirit/Spells/Magic physically and/or spiritually present. Object effects emotions, senses, motor skills, thoughts and mood of not only the owner but those around the object. The object can be used as a portal to inflict or bestow the powers contained within to others as far as a 5,000 miles away. Can move by itself and can move objects near it. Incredibly powerful and rare, is the most powerful binding achieved and possesses multiple times over the power of a class 5.
