Villa Paula Mansion

Why did we rate this "Confirmed"? Because multiple sources off the internet sites have experienced paranormal activity at this location & therefore warrants a rating of "Confirmed".

What's the tale? Villa Paula Mansion was built in 1925 for Senior Don Domingo Milord, and his wife, Paula. He was the first Cuban Consulate in Miami. It went through a number of owners and hosts quite a few spirits. One spirit knocks on the door repeatedly, one spirit (thought to be Paula) shuts the bedroom door, the strong aroma of Cuban coffee comes from the kitchen, the strong scent of roses comes from the dining hall even in the winter season, two spirits appear visually to guests, you can hear the tapping of high heels on the stone path, and objects are moved (sometimes thrown) about the house. It is not open to the public.

What do we know as fact? Thanks to this site we know the home was originally built in 1926 as a residence for the Cuban consulate to Miami. All of the building materials and workers came from Cuba. Milord's wife, Paula, died in one of the home's bedrooms from complications from leg amputation. Shortly after her death the home stopped serving as a residence for any Cuban official as problems in the country of Cuba surfaced. The home was sold in the 1930s to Muriel Reardon who lived there until her death in 1960. The stories of hauntings did not start until Cliff Ensor bought the home in 1974 desperately in need of restoration.

Thoughts: There are multiple sources who have lived in and visited the home who report paranormal activity in the form of ghosts, spirits and residual energy.
