Huff uses the frankincense resin and lights a tealight candle under it. He reuses the tealight holder to burn the resin in.
I can tolerate this better than the sticks, because it doesn't bother my asthma as bad.
I also found that the cones are easier on my asthma as well. They aren't tainted with the wood that is used to make the sticks. He uses only specific suppliers on the internet, because some produce more smoke than others, which affects my breathing more.

I've tried cones too, but the ones I've gotten still stink, so I'm just going to scatter the unused cones around the place so that the unburnt scent will linger. It's hard to get good incense here, when they mostly sell those unscented, smokey ones for temples.

I will get Huff to post and give you his link that he uses to get his incense. It doesn't stink like the common ones.

Another thing he does that is different is that he burns his over water, and that takes away the smokey scent if it has one, because the ashes are dropped in the water.

The set up Huff is using sounds intriguing, did he constructed it himself? I've not seen burners which drop ashes into water, but that does sound like a good idea to get rid of the smokey after effects of the ash.

He just burns it in the bathroom. I have severe asthma so I can't take smoke, and my spirits are spoiled to the incense, so the compromise was burning it over the sink with water in the sink.
