Holy crud Rae. I love you for being the most open-hearted woman I have ever met. You are truly amazing. When my husband did this a few years ago... well, I can only say that "get out" was the nicest thing I could say to, or about him. You got my vote and my And if you ever need a divine yaya sisterhood of the traveling pants kind of moment, I am with yaRaeNebula wrote:ENTRY:
This weekend has been big for me. I have two small children and the importance of this has been highlighted for me. Over the past month, my husband has found another woman. It's a very strange situation in that I had met her in August and immediately felt her energy would be good for him. It's like I felt their link, and I barely spoke three words to her. We have a large group of acquaintances, to which she has been welcomed through a failed relationship with one of our other friends. On October 20th, her, a few of our other friends and my husband all went to a concert. He was immediately smitten with her. Over the past month they have gone to quite a few concerts together and found links in so many different areas. My husband has fallen in love.
This weekend I have spent entirely alone with my children. All the family was out of town, so we had no Thanksgiving food whatsoever. I would have made some myself, but I had just finished working a set of nights, and was completely exhausted... and alone. I spent Thanksgiving night unable to sleep, but cuddled between my two precious charges, and I felt wonderful.
Many of you may think that this is the worst possible thing that could happen to a person's marriage. I am seriously feeling only delight. (Maybe the occasional "I wish I had help right now.") I believe in the soul, and I believe my husband and I are a type of soul mate. However, I have seen firsthand that there is a true mate for him, and he has found her. I feel like my best friend is finally happy, which is something I just haven't been able to provide for him for a very long time, if ever. I feel that my role has been to keep and care for him until such time as they were ready to meet each other.
While I am aware that things are going to be difficult in the coming days, I am so thankful for my two children. I am so thankful that my husband has found true love. I am so thankful for what the future has in store for us all. I am powerful. I am capable. I can do this. That has me weeping with joy, when others may weep in sadness.

Well, I was writing something for this... but I had to put it aside to work on reports for work... and then I got into one of those moods. Honestly.... with things falling apart left and right, I'm just not feeling in a very thankful mood right now. And with midnight 35 minutes away, I don't think I'm going to finish it. Good luck everyone. I'll have to get back on those reports though... and I need to be up in 5 hours... I think I'll be pretty thankful if I'm capable of coherent thought in the morning.
