Boy within each of those is years and years and years and years of experience and rhetoric that blows the mind. These are each really interesting to experience.

Well said! Some people are so tied to their beliefs that it is hard to shake them. I think fear plays a part in this.suga wrote:I totally agree belief are nothing to be proud of. I hate it when people ask me what I believe, and when it doesn't conform to their beliefs which they often base on things they read rather than life experiences, we get in long winded fights and we are forced to cause mutual suffering. For what? None of us have proof. We only have subjective experiences, which can be read by another as subjective imagination.
I also agree most of life is an imagination. Our borders, money, rules, enemies, totally in our minds. It's only real because we collectively agreed to define it as so.

Dogma is very hard to break from especially when you are surrounded by people who believe in that dogma. People will rather conform than express themselves.fire083 wrote:I would make a brief statement on belief. And that is it is better to have a good idea, because ideas can be changed a lot easier than beliefs. Part of that is because often people have died for them, Christianity for example a lot of people died over that belief. I'm not saying they are right, nor am I saying they are wrong.
I would also like to credit "Dogma" for my opinion on the subject of belief.

Generally speaking, I would say 'beliefs' are unavoidable for any persons and the 'beliefs' themselves are neither good nor bad as long as the individual does not carry a system of set beliefs that would limit him from rationalizing and thinking about things, ideas, concepts and situations in several different ways. Otherwise as that limiting belief progresses in the psyche it would be more difficult to alter such ways of thinking as their minds develop through the course of their lifetime . Such dogma is not just present between religion , spirituality, and philosophy it is present in social and political conditioning too, it's human nature at the lowest damn possible level.
