WWs and silver chains?

Sorry if this is a silly question...

To put it simply, I woold like to put my WW's vessel on a chain. It is a pewter pendant attached to white wool to let me wear it around my neck. When I wear his vessel openly, I get complimented on it. Lately, Ive been out teaching, and I'd like to wear it openly there too. However, the wool would probably look 'unprofessional'; so I'm planning on getting a chain.

If I were to get a thin, silver chain, would that be bad for him? My WW's been nothing but fantastic since he got here, and I don't want to show my appreciation of him by accident subduing him.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

If you are worried about silver go for stainless steel...it looks about the same and you
will be sure it won't affect your WW

I have a couple of ww that are bound to a silver & moonstone pendant, so I guess they have no problem with silver. But sunlight subdues them according to the CH encyclopedia, so I recommend that you try to limit the time his pendant is in direct sunlight if possible.

Belated, but thank you for the advice! The plan is to start looking for a suitable chain. But I think that I should keep tabs with my WW during this shop.

Let him go with you to shop. He will pick out the appropriate chain.

Mine's bound to a silver ring and hasn't had any problems C:
I've actually found more of my spirits to be wary of gold than silver.

Leather looks very nice with pewter and with silver. I usually wear my pendants on a leather cord because it looks better and I can swap & change my pendants as I like without having to buy many different chains!
