I received a reiki treatment this...well, I guess yesterday morning (I'm still up so I had to look at the time). Aromatherapy was part of the treatment as well. When we were done she asked me what I saw. It was an interesting question because I saw a light blue and white, almost like clouds in the blue sky colors. She told me that when she does reiki she utilizes the Archangel Michael and she visualizes blue and white as the colors. I wasn't aware of this until after I had told her what I was seeing. It was quite interesting to me, but with all that has been happening in my life lately, it just reinforced a lot.

Well, I've had a few reiki treatments before. Twice I was in a reiki circle, once only having my friend lay hands on me and the other time I had two different people. These were sitting in a chair types and I do believe they helped me a lot. The energy from multiple reiki masters were all flowing through the room so the energy was probably the most in those situations. I did notice that, during those times, I got a tick on the left side of my face below my eye. After talking with them about it, it just seems to be that I am working some stuff out of my system and that is just how my body reacts. I've got some issues in my, please excuse me if I bastardize the terms, but my head chakra and my heart chakra due to some of the things that I have had happen to me in the last 14-15 months. So they think that, perhaps it's just a side effect based off of me.

Twice my friend has done the full body dedicated reiki treatment. Basically I lay there in just my shorts and she utilizes aromatherapy and music as part of the reiki treatment. These have been the most beneficial to me because, like I've mentioned a time or two before, I'm working on some really big issues from things that have happened to me and I'm pretty broken on the inside, but I'm really trying to fix myself up, but I digress, these treatments have a more dedicated feel to just me and they have really helped me.

The one I mentioned below was my second of these types. We pulled up some music on my laptop that was specifically intended for use with reiki and just let it go fairly quietly in the background. She brought essential oils and aromatherapy scents and even a homepathic spray that she used (I thought it might be holy water since we've gone by the church to get some before and it tasted like water, but she clarified that it is a homepathic remedy that she makes herself) and sprayed into my mouth. During the treatment I started to get these visions of colors, specifically blue and white. I think I tried to convince myself it was of the sky because it was that type of sky blue, but it wasn't really clouds in the sky, it was a mixture of white and blue colors kind of like if you had an oil based paints of these colors and dumped them together but didn't really mix them up. I hadn't had something like this happen before so I didn't really think anything of it until after she was done. She just asked me what I saw and I wasn't sure why, but I told her that I saw the colors white and blue and I wasn't sure why.

She then proceeded to tell me that she invokes the archangel Michael whenever she does reiki and that his colors are the colors of the sky. Blue is most commonly associated with the archangel Michael representing power, protection, faith, courage, and strength and white represents Gabriel representing the purity and harmony of holiness. What is interesting about that is that I have this thing about Gabriel, pretty much ever since the movie The Prophecy with Christopher Walken playing Gabriel in it, so though I'm not Catholic and I don't have a saint or an angel or anything, I've always felt this connection with Gabriel so the white makes even more sense to me that way. Kind of a combination of hers and mine sort of thing. 1sp

But that's basically the whole story. Maybe I'll have more to add later after another treatment. I'm considering working towards becoming a reiki master myself after I move somewhere, but it'll depend on the availability of instructors to teach me wherever I end up going. We have a decent sized community here in the Tucson area, but that may not be the case everywhere I go. We'll have to see. 1s
