Seeing motions

I usually practice meditating with an eye mask on to achieve complete darkness. During the session this evening I tried waving my hand in front of my face and I could actually see the motions behind the eye mask AND my closed eyes, what is going on?

Your third eye is getting used to see without physical eyes?:)

Just the motions and flickering candle light, no shapes or colors yet.

I have actually had this happen as well a few times, and at the time I was not meditating. It was just very late at night and really dark, and had my eyes closed. I was just sitting there, and when I moved my hand, I noticed that I saw what looked like a silhouette of my hand moving in my mind I guess.

Not sure, but the motions leave a trail if you know what I mean.

For that, I believe we need to capture and recognize the spirit/entity's signature first. One of the many ways to do this is to clear the room and ask specific spirit/entity to enter, and envelop us with their energy. After getting used to it, we might be able to sense the movement of that spirit/entity, and differentiate it with ours.

I think you can try this sensing with other people also, to recognize the signature of human in general:)
