Do you think some sphinxes can be affectionate, or sexual even, or shift form?
Just a curiosity I've been having.
I have an Egyptian Sphinx from removed by moderator, though I don't really know him too well yet.
I have seen artwork of a nice looking sphinx-fellow on PE ... and since I've been bringing up cat-people and shifters I've had this other curiosity in my mind.

Someone asked about frisky dragons, so ... I thought I'd ask about people's experiences with their sphinxes, of any kind really. It's an open topic (hence not putting it in the adult area), and let's keep it PG.
Are they friendly and social, or grim and gruff, change size or shape, active or quiet, etc., etc.
Can you tell much difference between the Greek type and the Egyptian type?

As far as i've read, there are greek and egyptian sphinxes. Greek sphinxes have wings and i think they can be darker. I'm not sure whether egyptian sphinxes are known for riddles because i don't know that part. Sphinxes are not sexual.

Yes, yes and yes. Depends on the individual really. Anything that procreates with sexual relations is sexual by nature.
But it depends on the individual if they start relations with other races. Same with shape shifting, if they've learnt it, they can do it.
There is one with me that's supposedly sexual, but not like I've ever tried it.

Again depends on the individual really. Most of them are proud, strong and intelligent beings, that's all that I know.

Egyptian sphinxes are typically guardians/protectors and don't tell riddles. They're also more often portrayed male.

Toni's site describes sphinxes (either type) as ancient guardian spirits who are mysterious, aggressive, and quite powerful. Which sounds right.
I was only given a name, type, gender and his likes and dislikes.
Mine likes chocolate and cotton candy, and dislikes peppermint, lol.

Tbh I have a hard time connecting to my bindings when I don't get a lot of info on them from the conjurer.
I know some say that you should learn about them yourself regardless, but it really helps to have more info up front to get a good feel. I find that I pay more attention to those I know more about, which I guess is kind of sad, but it's just that they feel more familiar and easier to connect to. (and more visual references helps a great deal also)
At any rate I wonder why I am drawn to that certain artwork. I suppose it could be him or my intuition telling me something.
I'm learning that those feelings or senses you get about your spirits' looks might actually mean something, in addition to any other jists about their energy, personality, etc. of course.

But as I am always curious, I thought I'd see what other sphinx experiences or thoughts the community has.
