OBVIOUSLY AS YOU ALREADY KNOW, PROTECTION.

I WOULD STRONGLY URGE YOU TO START WITH ONE RACE OF SPIRIT & STICK WITH FOR QUITE SOME TIME. YOU NEED TO LEARN TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT ENERGIES OF SPIRITS. THIS WILL HELP YOU NOT GET HOOKED BY A TRICKSTER. THERE ARE RACES OF BEINGS OUT THERE WHO CAN MIMIC OTHER RACES IN ORDER TO GAIN YOUR TRUST & YOU LET THEM IN.

OUTSIDE OF PROTECTION THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS GET CONJURATIONS FROM TRUSTED SOURCES. OTHERWISE GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU'LL BE CALLING IN. WE HAVE INVOCATIONS POSTED IN THE FORUM, I THINK IN THE UNDERGROUND SECTION.

YOU NEED TO PRACTICE, DON'T BE IN A RUSH, IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO IT RIGHT THEN BE WILLING TO PUT IN THE TIME. AND DEFINITELY DON'T START OFF WITH ANY DA.

CH has some conjuration items, there's a stone for a one time use (you pick the race you want), and then I think there is a bag or something that lets you do it multiple times. So they've kinda done some steps for you already.
