Today I found out that Gene Wilder has died. Having lived a reasonably long life, to my child-self this was nonetheless shocking.
He really stood apart as an actor, leaving a memorable impression with every performance. And of course.. Gene was the Willy Wonka.

Yes the news broke yesterday evening 28 June that the popular actor and writer Jerome Silberman aka Willy wonka has died.From June 11 1933-August 28 2016. RIP the great icon.

Also the lead role in Young Frankenstein. One of the funniest freaking movies ever.
