Unfortunately there will be changes to the design to accommodate the new responsive ability. However, it will make the Forum completely usable without Tapatalk.

It shouldn't require anything related to credentials. If you go to the shop and resize your browser, you'll see it accommodates the change is browser resolution easily, while the forum is fixed in size and does not. All responsive changes should do is accommodate the different display sizes.
