I was going to come here and post that I seem to have lost my faith in magick lately, and that is sad as it is one of my best talents. Reading this thread helped, however, and clearly it proves magick is very real everywhere 2hp

One thing I have learned (sometimes with a hard lesson) is that even though one may lose faith in magick, magick does not lose faith in you.Aurum wrote:Magick. Clearly.Zero wrote:What the crap...

Goes with the title. 'Nothing works'.
Seriously, no idea how that happened... I had both this and the other thread open, then closed this thread entirely, typed that comment onto the other one, submitted it... then saw that my name was last on this thread, checked, and my comment was on here instead of the other one... ????
I dunno. Maybe it's a sign. Like I'm supposed to say all ya'll on this thread have purty eyes or something. A tact forcing me to be more sociable. Or that I'm not supposed to tell someone their eyes are pretty? No complimenting people, Zero!
I dunno. Noc, your eye is pretty. Also nice thread. Also sorry. Also HI.

Whe it comes to doubt, like me with my hearing one (did I actually hear my spirits, or am I imagining it?) it's been a constant thing for me. A nagging doubt that I can't seem to lose, that I may not actually be hearing my spirits, and it's just all in my head. Of course they are real, I've experienced enough to know that. But am I actually hearing them, or ignoring them? It's sort of a fear factor, I don't want to ignore them. So I sincerely hope that I do hear them. Which again, the methods like the cards, (which I haven't done in a while...) feel, I dunno, unreliable, or I start to stress. That, and I don't want to keep bringing it up, because I'm doubting myself constantly. I dunno.
But here's something that came up a few days ago in my stuff:
Sometimes, when something is amiss regarding a choice you made, you start going down a long list of "what if" scenarios. One minor misstep, miscalculation, or tiny mistake takes on a life of its own. Suddenly you can see all the possibilities of how it will go terribly wrong. You may lose sight of the fact that you are only dealing with a miniscule flaw, and it becomes - in your mind - a huge threat. You need to learn to stop yourself way before that. Stick with your decisions - especially a recent one - unless and until you have absolute proof that you need to change something. If you do, make the change. If not, commit yourself fully.
That, has been me, the past however many months.
So "You need to learn to stop yourself way before that. Stick with your decisions, especially a recent one, unless and until you have absolute proof that you need to change something. If you do, make the change. If not, commit yourself fully."
After all, it's me holding myself back. Just gotta trust that I am hearing them.
