A properly bound spirit cannot leave a vessel.

sounds just about right,I bought a familiar spirit from Dee a few years ago I never call on him. his vessel is a cute little black cat.I've been thinking about giving him a task to protect the home .but
I have already given the same task to my other familiar.

Hey guys -- any updates on your familiars??

I bought one from dove also, and like Queenie, I was told that she is Female energy... I was expecting a Cat or Dog or something but I have no idea what female energy means.

Could be that she's just realy moody every 3 weeks or so?

I have a Raven that I am still bonding with, but I'll post more once I get a feel for him.

I think that a familiar can do just about anything that will help you out.
Warn you of danger, help you with understanding and learning things, and being a friend.

I don't think they could offer protection like a Werewolf or Hellhound would, but I'm sure that they would give those spirits heads up of any trouble, or you.

Magnolia sold a Frog Familiar on ebay a few weeks ago. As I recall it could do quite a few things, you might be able to still find it in her completed items list.

I have an owl familiar that I got in a mystery box from Dee Dee at Haunted Curiosities. The familiar used to belong to a warlock. I don't practice magick, but was told that she will help with any problems that come my way--being an owl, she prefers to work on her tasks at night

. Other than that, I have no other knowledge of what they do or how they help.

I still feel new even after a year of keeping, still learning, it's a life long process. Just curious Caiyros what a Pyewacket is or what they look like? I haven't heard of them before but again I'm still pretty new and there are many I haven't heard of lol! I like the way he speaks though, he sounds like a great companion!

My familiar manifests as an orange and white tabby cat. I see him frequently around the house in various ways. A small shadow, an orb, blur in the mirror. I always know its him vs. one of my other spirits cause the movement always "cat like".

I can get yes or no answers from him with a pendulum, but no audible or telepathic contact yet. Every so often, he'll let my two labs chase him around the house and yard. It took me a while to figure out what kind of relationship I'd have with a familiar. Its becoming clear that he is there assist me with the various magicks I'm working with or learning. Otherwise, he seems pretty happy just frolicking around my property when I don't have an immediate need for him.
