I feel that the Aztec deities are underrepresented here.
As a modern lunatic I'd like to introduce you to one of the most fascinating Aztec deities - the 400 drunken rabbits, Centzon Totochtin.
Here (click) is an enlightening read on the bunch.
If you like rabbits and appreciate the sacred origins of intoxication you'll adore them. There isn't actually 'much to be told' about them as a whole in the mythology, so far as I have found.. but reaching out to them can be anywhere from 'interesting' to 'disturbing' to 'a lot of fun' to say the least.
