If you go to /chat you will hit the previous chat. Given that the embedded chat is linked to the forum login there is no way that I or the other mods are aware of to create a separate room. And yes the majority of us are adults and shouldn't have to be moderated, but there are a lot of people who don't obey the forum rules.

One of the drawbacks of integrated chat/forum logins, for anyone who insists on skirting chat rules, is that the only way to temporarily suspend their chat privileges is to temporarily suspend their entire ID. It means their forum access will be suspended as well, if they act out in chat badly enough to warrant action being taken. We have no way to segregate the one from the other anymore.
