Hey everyone!

So for the past month or two, I have been looking to get to know Aphrodite, and as AzureEcho suggested the mentality to take, to allow her and her influence into my life.
Interestingly a conversation between me and Aphrodite happened a lot sooner than I thought, and I've been super happy to have decided to connect to her.
She's been kind, patient, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes of following/opening up to her.

I digress. Back to the subject of what I'm posting.

I was thinking, I believe yesterday, about how often it feels like wishes backfire, or that people, like me, aren't careful enough in what you wish for. Yes, a bit depressing, but I was in a depressive mood, it had been a negative few days.

Then my little brother looks up at me from his colouring book, and asks me "What would you wish "myname"?"
I looked at him, considered it, and replied "I'm not sure "hisname", it often feels like there isn't anything I could wish for that I may regret later."

My youngest brother said something like "that's okay", obviously being a little kid, he depth of my answer missed, but he's a happy cheerful bunch, I wouldn't want him to get that right now.

Then I added on "but if I was to wish for something, maybe it would be compassion. The world needs more compassion, and if more people were nice to each other, maybe there would be less issues."

He went back to his colouring, and I continued on.

Later that day, my sister poked me, and I looked up from what I was doing on my device, still having a smile on my face from the humour, and she looked at my mom and mentioned how I looked like I was in a good mood.

My mom replied, saying she found it a bit odd, as everyone seemed to be in a good mood today, despite the past few days being terrible, and she wasn't sure why. She herself I noticed, had been in a much better mood that day, unlike her usual easily-irritated self that had been persisting the past few days.

Suddenly it clicked.
A little bit later, alone, I called out to Aphrodite and asked, and yeah, she had heard me apparently, with my unintentional wish, and had, granted it, so to speak.

The best word I could use is I'm deeply humbled she chose to do that, and I'm incredibly happy with how things have been going. It hasn't been perfect no, but it's been a lot better, and I'm gonna try to make the best of it. ^_^

The world could use more love, and compassion. And I'll try my part to help with that. Cause even I am sometimes prone to being snappish some days. Bad habit. Yet another reason to be connecting to Aphrodite.
