So I had to revisit this post and give an update. I recently saw a movie that scared the living daylights out of me, not just once, but twice! Years ago, in 1982, I remember watching this scary movie called "Black Christmas". A good old fashioned truly scary movie that was made back in 1974, starring Keir Dullea and Olivia Hussey. That damn movie gave me the creeps for a couple days afterwards. I will never forget it! One day, just for kicks, I figured I would try to search for it on Netflix...and there it was! The original Black Christmas, from 1974! (Not the crappy remake that came out a few years back) Hell, yeah! I wanted to rent it! Just for old times sake, and to see if the movie could still scare the hell out of me. This movie may not be scary to a lot of people these days, it did not have much as far as gore is concerned, but it made up for it in creep and scare factor. The movie finally came, and believe it or not, it took me several days to watch it. It seemed like I was finding excuses not to watch it. So, I finally grabbed the old bull by the horns one night and I popped it in the DVD player (it was only available on DVD), sat on my sofa and commenced with watching this movie.. And, again, I screamed at the same damn part! My son, who was in his room yelled out to me "Mom, what the hell is going on?!?!" All I could do is point at the screen, my eyes big as silver dollars and yell "THAT EYE!!! THAT EYE!!! THAAAAT FREAKIN' EYEE!!!! AGHHHHHHH!!! That is all I could get out! It must have been really funny to my spirits to hear me shriek like an ambulance over a silly movie. I know I was laughing at myself later, as I can just imagine what I must have looked like to my spirit family, eyes all huge, hair all over the place, pointing at the television screen and screaming. I can almost guarantee that it got more than just a couple of chuckles from the gang. But you know what, it was so worth it just to see it one more time, even just for old times sake.

Love scary movies. Freddy is king! Nightmare on Elm Street films, The Conjuring films, The Underworld films, 13 Ghosts, Constantine, Hocus Pocus, Dead Silence, It, The Stand, The Hellraiser films and many more... very hard to choose a favorite as I love them all. But I also really love the anthology shows such as Tales From The Darkside, Monsters, Masters of Horror, Fear Itself... wish there were more of those.

I love horror! My parents can't understand why, but at least I've got spirits who'll sit down and watch with me!
My spirits are my guides, friends and family~ I love them all!
