Hi everyone, I wanted to ask what are your recommendations as "best Praxis" for new people in the occult in general, in terms of techniques and theory. Putting aside that everyone advances at their own rythm and timing should be personal, this is meant to be a general recommendation.

As for myself I started out with:
-Meditation and grounding (daily) until I had reasonable thought control and manipulation.
-Familiarizing with the elements and the different energy systems: chakras (eastern), power centers (western), etc.
-Basic magick theory and different systems.
-Shielding
-Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram "LBRP" and its variations (this is key for developing a series of abilities like: visualization, grounding, assuming god form, gathering energy, banishing, invoking archangels), everyday.
-Middle Pillar (after a month of LBRP) excersice for gathering energy "up-down" (this was a key advancement, and the first time I felt physical effects with mental excersices)

And here I am, next steps should be, advanced energy manipulation, evocation of the elements, evocation of archangels, goetia (maybe), etc.

It seems like you already have an established plan : )

Mm some that you can add, if you want, are astral projection and/or lucid dream

More solid than mine, you are good to go!

Do also not forget journaling = keeping a journal for dreams, rituals and all else.
