How and what takes place in the thoughts? Can you hear it loud as day or something?

It sounds like a radio in your head, although this is when you get a clear, strong connection. When you practice with another person who has experience in telepathy, it's a very cool thing.

To me, it sounds like voices in your head. Sometimes, one will come in loud and clear, and other times, there will be a lot of static from the multiple voices merging as white noise. Sometimes you can hear and understand the words, but other times, you can only pick up fragments and sounds like you would hear in crowded rooms.

Sometimes you hear things that the person would rather leave unheard.

this is how it is for me with varying degrees of volume.Most often vary low volume.

When I hear a spirit speak to me through telepathy it is, as Kitsune and others here have said, a bit like a radio or walkie-talkie in your head. Each spirit has their own distinct voice speaking inside your head. To me, this basically manifests as "thoughts" that feel foreign and "sound/feel" different than my own. This is different to when I hear a spirit through clairaudience; in that case I hear them speak in their own voice right outside my ear, like a crisp whispering coming through a tin can, or more like a muffled mumbling when it's further away.

I think manifestations of these kinds of communications happen a bit differently for everyone. There's exercises you can do as part of meditations and the like to help you hone those kinds of communications with your spirits. Thoughts are energy, after all, and so they can be picked up on.

An exercise my roommate and I like to do to hone our intuitions is to get a deck of playing cards, shuffle the deck, and sit across from each other. The one not trying to read the cards will then pull a card from the deck with the back of the card being shown to the one doing the reading (in other words, the one pulling the card will see the front of the card, whereas the reader will not). The person doing the reading will then try to "sense/feel/pick up on" what the color of the card is; black or red. One way to train your telepathy would be to have the one holding up the card focus intently on the correct color, and the one trying to read the energy trying their best to pick up on this. You go through the entire deck this way, and count your results at the end. A more advanced version of this would be to correctly feel out the proper card type; spades, hearts, clubs or diamonds. You can also do this solo, but obviously you would not be using telepathy so much as other parts of your intuition since there is no other individual there to pick up on. The most important part is always to be relaxed, to not "force" anything, not get angry if your results are initially underwhelming, etc.

Clairaudience? That strikes me as odd, since I seem to know some habits I've been doing for like all my life that make me wonder if I'm actually naturally talented with it.
