actually this would be interesting to know or not - as dragons used to live all over, just as people live all over this earth you would have to wonder if there was a difference in dialects depending on the land that a dragon comes from if it does use the dragon language.
It would be interesting to find out if there were different dialects based on terrain as well. I would assume with such a massive sound, they would have to adapt their tone/volume/inflection/ect based on whether they lives in caves made out of lava rock/quartz/sandstone/limestone/or caves that may have pools inside/etc.

This is probably due to them trying to imitate their keepers pitch / voice but it does raise the question in my mind of weather or not this applies to spirits as well.
Wow, I didn't know that about dogs!

Think you've seen it all? Think again. Outside those doors, we might see anything. We could find new worlds, terrifying monsters, impossible things. And if you come with me... nothing will ever be the same again!

maybe because the language designer of the Dov'ah language was inspired by a real dragon race and they gave him pieces of their language in form of thoughts, from which he designed the rest.
I never tried it with my dragons, I just really loved the language. It was something mystic and it just sounds very beautiful.

My fiancee is very into the language and can speak it quite well as well as use his thuum quite proudly I call him my Dov'ah Kin :) he got me into the game and he has ties to the actual culture they use in the games that they pulled their lore from but its been buried under all the skyrim in stuff as the culture died out

For CH's dragons, they have a couple encyclopedia pages for black and blue dragon languages. If you write to the helpdesk, they may be able to pull up more for your white dragons.
