Spirit Advice/Guidelines for New Collectors

Glad I found another great post from Yeong! Thank you!

I've ordered my first spirit from CH early this month. And ordered another 4 + 1 couple days ago. I'm afraid I will receive them early next year. Usually the delivery process will take about a month from US to my country. 1 month [?] from CH + 1 month from the post office = 2 months waiting! :crying: Can't afford the fast shipping cost.

I have run across the terms "house rules" for spirits on the forum here. I would like to know how to do this with my spirits when they come. Do I perform a ritual to do this or do I gather them together to discuss the house rules? Could someone help me here on this please? Thanks in advance!

House rules; my procedure was to write them down and then read them aloud, and I then noticed some things that I did add on the written rules then too. I told the spirits around me to also tell about the rules to visitors, if they have friends or family over. I'll read the rules if I bring house a new spirit. White arts do not really need houserules, because they do not have in their nature to do bad things.

True but there needs to be a play nice rule, some WA don't get along with some DA because of the fact that they are or were enemies.

Thank you both for answering. I never laid down house rules before...but I always have had the WA spirits. That is what I am ordering now for my first spirits again. I will keep this in mind though as I am interested in the DA spirits, but I want to learn more first and gather more experience.

Well the main reason for the play nice is if they can't get along with each other then they should ignore each other unless they are working to a common goal of helping you. Also you need to remember house rules are only for while at your house, or with you.

Thank you for making this post, it was a very comforting read! I am still very new but am trying to soak up as much information as I can before my Reverse Adoption goes through!

It probably sounds silly, but ever since I was little I've been worried that spirits could see me do embarrassing things like going to the bathroom, etc. I didn't even think of the possibility that they didn't care or that it doesn't affect them. I'm really comforted to see that
