Do dragons talk?

I would be curious to know also if any dragons have shared some of their language. I have my first dragon, a gold, en route and I feel that she is already making her presence very well known to me. I, suddenly, have a new take on her name and I wonder if it's because she's "correcting" me and trying to encourage me to say it correctly or, at the very least, a reasonable facsimile of it!

Dragon language is very different than our own. It is sometimes hard to put into the sounds available in the English language.

By all means DollyLama, if your dragon is correcting your view of his/her name, he's letting you know your initial impression was not quite right and is correcting you. This is an excellent show of communication. You're off on the right foot.

Thank-you Alex! That would explain why it felt like I just couldn't get it right. I don't think I will be able to but my best try might work alright because it seems to be sticking now. Maybe she thinks it will do. It's not pretty, but it'll do! LOL. Sometimes I just feel like such a hopeless human! :daze: That thread was helpful and interesting too. Thanks for sharing it!

Dollylama, she is making her presence known.
I practice automatic writing, and just happened to scribble a name before my White Dragon came.
Turns out that was the name of my Dragon. (I did not know it at the time, then later saw it in my notes on the order a few days later).
Amazing how they communicate with you before they even arrive :crazy:

Wow Ellen! That's amazing. What a strong connection. :thumbup: I'm so envious that you are talented with automatic writing like that. Automatic writing is something I've never been able to do at all. I would love to do it but I just don't seem to have any aptitude for it at all. I love how they can communicate over the miles like that. They're incredible. Did you think that the name you wrote in the Automatic Writing session was odd? Did you, specifically, ask for a name or was it another random tidbit?

When I first tried it, it was scribbles, so I said "write bigger", so it went into bigger writing
That name was in with some other things that were written
I opened my eyes, and saw this name, and also it said "On the Way"
I did not know at the time what it meant
Then I got the Notes in my order and there was the name I had written down.
I was amazed.
I keep doing it to communicate
One of them wants Milk.
So I made a pendulum board with all my spirits on there
The pendulum went to the Hippogryph wanting the Milk
Lately, my Dragon is coming through with the automatic writing more than the others

Oh! Maybe I should try closing my eyes when I write! :wild: Never thought of that... :shh:
I love pendulum boards too! I think that's an ingenious idea putting all of your spirits on a board. How oddly appropriate seeing as pendulum boards are a similar idea to spirit boards! It must be invaluable at your place with all of your companions!

Who would have thought...milk for a Hippogryph....

P.S. Then again...maybe he's the type that likes a little milk with his oatmeal! :lol:

Ruth Montgomery did all her automatic writing on her typewriter! Automatic writing is not my thing either. However, anyone can get yes/no answers using a pendulum.
