In vodu (voodoo) the Lwa (Loi or Loa - spirits) can become you and you them..(for a very detailed description of this process read Maya Deren's The Divine Horseman. TO me it was like being 2 people at once, but it was not frightening or confusing. The feeling power and energy was well over what I would normally feel, but I felt that just dancing was enough and as Erzulie Dantor Je Rouge and She as me in extension gave me new and different feelings of insight and raw energy...but it wasn't nervous or raw....With the Lwa Baron Samedi it was like be a celebrity getting out of a limo and dancing on a red carpet - on one side of the carpet was death and on the other side of the carpet was life...and then smack...suddenly being back to just "me".

In real life, I have never seen or experienced anything like in The Exorcist...and I even have the spirit of Pazuzu with me.

i seen possessions on a number of occasions, but not like the kind on the movies. I've encountered the altered voice, and eyes rolling around in the back of ones head of a couple people, but never nothing like hollywood.

The question needs to be asked:

1. ) Many people are aware of the "psychological demons" that can be created in the mind. The famous painting and print The Scream by Edvard Munch might be a visual example....(also see: Ingmar Bergman's film "Through A Glass Darkly".

2.) And then there are "exterior demons" that have some kind of independent existence. (also see Ingmar Bergman's film Hour of the Wolf)

3.) And then there are ones that go from mind creation directly into the psycho-physical realm. There are 2 subgroups -
A.) Self-Induced Demon Production for false, wrong, and self-induced reasons, and as an attempt to self-control a growing inner hysteria.
B. Self-Induced Demon Production to make right a wrong, to get justice when there is no other justice. A subtle example of this is Ingmar Bergman's film Persona.

How do you differentiate the 3 categories? I use pure instinct, but there may be many other ways. If so, what are they?

Forms of Exorcism:

Mennonite - (don't have a clue. They are very secretive about it)

Qabalist - Talmudic - (may eliminate the person - but does not solve the problem gracefully)

Roman Catholic (Often works with very dangerous psychic forms - but is harsh and clunky)

Russian Orthodox Church (It works - but requires inner strength). Invocation of Daint Alexander Nevsky is key.

E-Therapy (Works very well without much effort. Recommended) Easy to learn.

Buddhism (The Chod pronounced "Chud")...A combination of Exorcism of self-karmas and those of others and various transformations of demonic forces and also of "self-resurrection" into a stronger and clearer self/person/whatever.

Hindu (Aghora or Left Hand Practices of Spirit interraction and control. There is the book, Aghora: The Left HAnd of God by Robert Svoboda...and all is explained in detail)

Gregorii Rasputin - He had his own system. Still trying to understand it, when his spirit is willing to talk with me.

Undoubtedly, there are other systems. But I don't know where or what they are.

As a last note, I think that the fundamentalist Christian form of "exorcism" does more harm than good as the basis of their sytem has 2 major flaws (if not more)

A. They are inducting "self-guilt" as a behaviour for self-control, when the problem, the demon, or the open door for a demon was created through self-supression (of indviduality, sexuality, etc)

B. They are inducing hatred for anything non-Christian, which opens the doors for all those mental, psychic, and hard core demons who possessed enough priests, cardinals, and pope to create the Inquisition and the "Burning Times" which according to reasonable estimates killed or tortured to death somewhere around 100,000,000 people from the period 600 AD to Texas 1952 when a "woman" with people and a RC priest in attendance was burned to death as a "witch". The people who did this were never punished.

Thanks for sharing your experience Caiyros as well as your insight.

When I was visiting Vietnam with my family , we were on our way to the country side. We had to stop by a small store on the dusty road to get some food/drinks and such. There was this girl we noticed. She was pinned down by 4 men. We asked the storekeeper what was going on. The storekeeper said that girl has been playing in the graveyard and messing with spirits to ask for lottery numbers. A spirit or entity had found her energy compatible and took over. They are holding her down because she cannot control herself. They are waiting for the monk to come and banish whatever is in her out. At that moment, the girl threw all 4 men off of her and it was chaos. We decided it was time to leave xD.


Other times, my grandmother gets possessed by my uncle. She says she can feel him coming and he takes over. She blacks out and everyone gathers around her. They hand her a cigarette. Her voice changes and my uncle tells everyone news and predictions. Its all pretty interesting but we "children" arent allowed to watch because they say it will frighten us. :frankenstein:

I let my cousin take over my body right after she was killed. For 6 weeks we shared my body. It was to me the best I could do for her... She did not want to die in that wreck and there were things that she needed to tell others that they could not hear. The day her mother demanded she leave my body it felt as if a part of me left. When she finally moved on 6 months later she left a message for me through a dream to her mother. She still visits me as she can and we still talk of the 6 weeks I let her share my body. She was my children s god mother... when we would hold them she would cry and tell me how much she could change if she was only given that chance. It truly opened my eyes to many things those 6 weeks. Yet it also let her tell her loved ones that she was taken from good bye and that is something that I could give her so I would do it again if ever need be in a situation like that... I have memories of her from those 6 weeks that I will cherish until the day I pass away myself.

I've often wondered why the Christian faith has the most stories on demon possession. My experience with hard-core Christians is that they bother me more so than the regular arm-chair Christian who take everything with a grain of salt. The hard-core ones have a tendency to stir animosity with their condemnation and my way or the hell highway attitude. I supposed that would make them targets to other emotional irrational foes who may seek to regain their power from oppression through the dark arts, war, etc.

Well as we should know, if we are right but have the wrong attitude, then we are wrong nevertheless.

I often wonder if it is angry human spirits who have been wronged that does the possession or actual demons. I mean if a group of people stir up animosity and cause unjust death of another, wouldn't it be the human spirit that seek revenge?
