Shielding without visualisation?

Does anyone know how to shield or have any shielding techniques that rely less upon visualisation intent?

Because when ever i try to visualise anything it's a more half complete imagination and especially when it comes to shielding i find it hard to do and have absolutely no idea whether it's actually working.

Has anyone got any ideas on making a shield that doesn't completely rely on just imagining it?

lol, yeah, i have that in my wish list.

Having items to help with shielding and shielding the home for myself is good, but i also want to learn to create one myself aswell.
Unfortunately it's something i struggle with. I hope someone has some advice for me on different methods to create one.

I've tried the "Warm Fuzzy" (the Shield which even limp noodles can do supposedly) but I don't even know if it's working or if I can keep it up, I have no way of knowing whether I'm doing anything right. Are there any tips for someone like me who can't seem to even do a simple bubble of protection? I feel a little discouraged.

You don't have to fully visualize anything. All that matters is the intent. If the intent is there it will be created in the astral.

i think the power of the spoken word is often underestimated too. maybe just say (not mentally, out loud) ," i am within a circle/bubble of protective light. it is above, below, within, without and all around me. NOTHING penetrates my shield of protection." or something other that means something to you. try saying it everyday, every couple hours and see what happens after a week.

you could make an experiment of it, and after a week or two, then try to visualize again.

just think if you are having a crappy day and you say to yourself even facetiously, i'm having a good day. even with teeth grinding if you say it a few times you might just fool yourself. if the universe and our subconscious responds to words within ideas with intent, it will be done for you and after a while you will believe it's working. and your belief will only strengthen what you have already done. does that make any sense? :wild:

Good question!

If you're more tactile, you could create a shield by 'feel'. (though this wouldn't require visualization, it would require cultivating some sensitivity to energy)

I have an idea, do any of you doodle on paper, like drawing stick figures or the like?

I would say also that the intent and what you say about having a sheild around you will work too, but to help you, draw a picture,(even if it is just a stick figure with a circle), which would be your sheild and carry it with you and when you feel that your sheild isn't working, just take out your picture and see it and know that it is working!!! Trust your spoken word and intent!!!
