By all accounts, I should have consulted you or a professional. I'm sure this is why my first marriage failed..lol..

No but seriously, I am really a believer in, "Feng Shui'ng" everything and picking special dates for better luck..I just don't know of any specialists in my area who could help me out..I am afraid I lack the funds as well.

Do these people make bank in China?..I'm willing to bet they are highly sought after.

LOL I know some people go all out and hire really expensive feng shui masters to help them when building houses, or to consult about business etc...=P When I was staying in Singapore, it was relatively easy to find feng shui masters (not the expensive kind), and my parents used to hire them before buying houses!=D Ended up that for those houses, my parents ended up selling them each time JUST before their values skyrocketed...XP Just our luck! ::bleh::

Ahaha! But, ya, I totally believe in feng shui too!=)

Other than getting married on the wrong date, sometimes the birth dates of the bride and groom do not match. It could also be the FengShui problem of the house you and your ex stayed in. Of course, it could also be the level of understanding and compatibility with your ex, that caused the marriage to fail.

I'm not sure how others charge, but I could do calculation of auspicious dates for important events in return for a nominal red packet of US$8. Nonetheless, I will not encourage you to be superstitious about doing almost everything on auspicious dates.

Living in this modern society, especially when most of us have undergone some education, most of the time, we usually choose to believe in logical reasoning. Coupled with the fact that I'm an extremely logical person, I feel very lucky that my Shifu embraces the Chinese Art (including FengShui) in a logical manner.

But I have got to say that before I started pursuing Chinese Arts, I was sceptical about how true or accurate this can be. It was not until when I started my Divination course, then I was really dumbstruck and amazed at what one can tell from the divination cards or dices... If you want to give it a try, let me know. I'm charging promotional price @ US$3 for a question. Anything under the sun, you can ask... If you need help with the geomancy of your current place, let me know too.

Regarding whether these people make bank in China, honestly, I have no idea but in Singapore (my country), there are famous FengShui masters who charge few thousand dollars for a consultation and some even ten of thousands. Maybe they are just filthy rich. But no matter what, I'm sure at the rates I'm charging, I'm never going to be like them! :)

Haha! Junsu. I agree with you. It is indeed easy to find FengShui masters almost everywhere in Asia, especially, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, China and Singapore. It is indeed a competitive market. Even though I'm pursuing the Chinese Arts, I have no aspirations like those FengShui masters because the objective for learning this, is to help myself and the others around me. By equipping myself with the knowledge, I feel that it will prevent me from being superstitious and at the same time, I can keep a lookout for the people around me.

I'm not sure the type of consultation which your parents had. Maybe it is just a divination (not FengShui) they did. If we are talking about FengShui, then the Master would just be assessing the house to see if it is of a good placing (if you stay in the house). But from what I have heard, there are many "1/2 bucket of water" FengShui practitioners who does it "anyhow". A piece of advice, no matter what the FengShui master says, if you do not feel comfortable with his advice, then it is best not to go ahead with it. Your gut feel will tell you if it is right or not.

By the way, just to answer your KPO question, I'm not married and I'm too busy with juggling the stress of living in Singapore so I'm chucking this aside till further notice! :)

Since you are already there and have obtained a PR, I do hope that you have found Canada the right and suitable place for you and family to settle down!

Yup, we took up the geomancy course is also to prevent those fluff from other masters. We only focus on what is essential and beneficial to all of you ;)

Ha ha really? How's the standard of living there? What do you like most about Canada?

Meh... Some things are more ex...=/ Some cheaper, like certain meats!=D (beef is so much cheaper... chicken breast is like one of the most ex cuts of meat here, but drumsticks and thighs, my favourite parts, are quite cheap!XD) But what I really like is more freedom of thought and expression, and not having to conform to "textbook answers" in my studies!XP

Sounds like their education system is more flexible and promoting creativity. But isn't it weird for chicken breast to be the most ex? In Singapore Drumsticks and thighs are the most ex.

Haha! I know right?!XD But here it's health first, so chicken breast and turkey is really ex, and so all the thighs and drumsticks which are fattier, are much cheaper!=) LOL! Which is a plus for me, cause although I like chicken breast, I LOVE chicken thighs! So it's actually a win-win situation for me!

LOL And, yes, the education system is WAY WAY WAY more flexible!=) I remember, when I was in p5, I sucked at science (about to fail... And was almost rock-bottom in my class for science...=/), so my teacher wanted to see me... Guess what she told me? My answers were actually mostly right, just that I didn't use the keywords, so she could not mark it right...=.= So I started using keywords, and started getting highest in my class in science?!=.= Even as a young child, I thought that was completely retarded...
