ground rules for a Black Dragon.

I have just bought a Custom Black Dragon and was wondering if anyone has some ideas of what ground rules you use for your black dragon.

I have a black dragon, and she has only a few rules. The most prominent was dont bother my grandmother.

:facepalm:: My Wraith gave the poor old girl nightmares when arrived, so that is my first rule with any spirit. If you live with parents/siblings/grandparents/room mates I would lay that one out first.

Another good one if you have other dragons, play nice is a good rule.

Other than those two, tend to individualize them per dragon (no fighting, flaming, or counting treasure at three A M)

lol will apply those 2, anymore ideas, should the rules be the same as the ones set for the Wraith, like not to harm anyone, or are they different in that respect?

The "dont bug my family and friends" one applies to every one. I live with my 82 year old gran and the first night my Wraith was here, she kept me up half the night having nightmares and talking in her sleep.

I also do not let them into the loo. Nothing more annoying than a half a dozen black orbs floating about while I am deal with other issues.

Some of the individual are be nice, no counting treasure in the wee hours, leave my computer and lap top alone (although SOME ONE is breaking that as of late. :irked: :irked: ), and no nightmares for me.

I guess it does vary from spirit to spirit. Lay down some major ground rules then individualize some of them per spirits.

Since you have other DA spirits I think it makes sense for the same rules to apply for your black dragon too (don't seek revenge for every person who makes me angry unless I ask you to do it for example). All my DA spirits have the same rules and then there are some added rules that apply only to certain groups of spirits. My vampires for example have a separate rule regarding where and when they are not allowed to feed, my wish granting spirits have some separate rules regarding wish granting etc, but most of my rules apply to all spirits, WA and DA, such as don't give me nightmares, don't manifest in mirrors (this would take me by surprise and I'd probably freak out), don't hurt me and my family etc.

The rule about no revenge unless ordered is one that I set down as well. Mostly for my class 5 DA spirits.

cool thanks for the tips, this one is my first black dragon so wondering what they are like to have, funny i just bought it and was thinking that my wraith didn't have a charging box and maybe it could share the blacks and all of a sudden i got a response back in my head of "no that is my box thank-you very much", lol it hasn't been conjoured yet and i'm already getting responses, it told me to get it a specail box all to it's self

Black dragons tend to speak their minds a lot.

That is something I had to get used to.
