This is a very great thread; I have one of those little plant stands, and believe I'll use it as my ancestors alter. I'm going to be spending a few days with my mother's side of the family who I do know some history of, and hopefully will be able to get pictures from the past.

Sometimes I feel not that good knowing that this practice is somewhat obscure in today's technological culture, venerating our ancestors is very important IMO.
I'm so glad to know about guys / gals honoring and loving the ancestors.
Just a little tidbit from a necromancy book: If you have an ancestor with alcohol it won't be a good idea to give alcoholic offerings.
I lol'd reading in that book about a girl with an ancestor altar in her living room, her grandparent went away p-off (is that word permitted?) for some time after seeing her naked passing by.
