I am thankful that despite a somewhat rough life with many tragedies and obstacles so far...
I keep my sense of humour, and I keep hope alive inside.
I am thankful that I did not succeed in committing suicide when i had attempted it during the darkest period of my life.
I am thankful for learning to open my heart up to love again, after having it destroyed by the betrayal of someone I thought I had loved.
I am thankful for being the weird woman i am.
I am thankful for having found love with a man who helps me be the me I should be,while still being the me that I have always been.
I am thankful for my family who although quite small...are here for me, as i am for them.
But yes, many things I am thankful for...I need to focus on more as I do see sadness, and feel it often too.
so if i had to pick one thing... .my sense of humour, will always shine through.
I would not trade that for the world.
as no matter how crappy things get, how sad life seems how dreams are crushed I continue to move forward, with my sense of humour as my beacon of light...that will never be extinguished, until I shuffle off this mortal coil, that is.

I am monumentally thankful for my over-active imagination – it means I can travel first-class to a realm where clouds are candyfloss, it waterfalls champagne, and rains Skittles. Actually, I don’t even have to travel, I can just click my raspberry stilettos, glitter of course, and I am instantly transported there, but hey, let’s keep this slight indiscretion on the down-low because I fear I may very well be dodging some serious travel fares here.

More importantly though, it allows me the opportunity to reject fact and embrace fiction, to retreat from a cruel and critical world, to create an alternate land where I can ensconce myself in a protective bubble that deflects all the harsh verbal arrows you fire from behind superficial masquerade masks. Screw you, I am Batman &$*#!! Bang, Pow, Bam!

I have watched many come and go
Ringmasters, acrobats, illusionists, puppeteers,
Some didn't even say goodbye
Some I grabbed by the ankles like a beggar woman
but they still didn't listen

I am thankful for the person who invented the internet. If not for that, then none of this is possible and it also keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. Craigslist, if not for a topic i ran across by accident i would have died premature. My spirit family, they were there when i needed them. They are not there because they have to or want something, they are here because they love me unconditional. That my food water and shelter is plentiful even if sometimes not good at least i don't go hungry, thristy, and safe from weather etc. Finally paranormal sellers who make all the spirit connections possible for me and others who are interested in that path, many of us wouldn't have anything if not for them.

the memories of home~ the place of my soul's birth
the kindness of strangers, the laughter of children

i'm guessing that you were being serious, miss noctifera, but this made me laugh because it's a plural, and i immediately thought of very small people. or tots. or toddlers.
