I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but I came across this interesting news article, it seems like more and more discoveries are being made to add weight to mythology and tales passed down for centuries

“gate to hell” has emerged from ruins in southwestern Turkey, Italian archaeologists have announced.

Known as Pluto's Gate -- Ploutonion in Greek, Plutonium in Latin -- the cave was celebrated as the portal to the underworld in Greco-Roman mythology and tradition.

Historic sources located the site in the ancient Phrygian city of Hierapolis, now called Pamukkale, and described the opening as filled with lethal mephitic vapors.

Rodin was a Master...Everything a masterpiece. I love his statue of Balzac (who is my favorite author ). When I went to school in downtown Philadelphia at Friends Select out at 16th & Parkway...about one block up The Parkway on the same side was The Rodin Museum,,,and we would go there into their outdoor area and read and talk and smoke cigarettes,,,It was a wonderful place....probably still is.....
