I'M INTERESTED IN OPINIONS. IT'S SAID THAT THE OXYGEN YOU BREATHE IS WHAT KILLS YOU, SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN EXACTLY?

USING THE BIBLE AS A HISTORIC REFERENCE (THIS IS NOT A RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION), IT SAYS PEOPLE LIVED 400+ YEARS. THEN HUMANS DID A FEW NO-NOS & IT WAS TAKEN DOWN TO 126 YEARS. LET'S JUST HYPOTHESIZE HERE THAT RATHER THAN IT BEING A PUNISHMENT, THAT THE REAL CAUSE WAS SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE LOGICAL.

KEEPING RELIGION OUT OF THIS DISCUSSION, & JUST DISCUSSING HYPOTHETICALS HERE, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

WERE HUMANS DROPPED OFF HERE? THE ALMOST PERFECT PLANET, EXCEPT, WHILE OXYGEN IS BREATHABLE YOUR LIFESPAN WOULD BE CUT IN HALF?

IF HUMANS WERE FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE & THAT ELSEWHERE WAS NO LONGER AN OPTION, IT'S POSSIBLE PLANET EARTH WAS THE NEXT CLOSET OPTION, THOUGH IT CAME WITH A PRICE.

OR, WERE HUMANS ALWAYS HERE BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING ELSE IN THE BREATHABLE MIX THAT KEPT THEM ALIVE LONGER, WHICH EVENTUALLY DISSIPATED & RAN OUT?

THEY BELIEVE, NOW, THAT MODERN DAY HUMANS SIMPLY ABSORBED THE NEANDERTHAL RACE, SO IS IT POSSIBLE SOURCE "HUMANS" WERE BETTER OFF BEFORE THEY STARTED MIXING RACES?

I believe there is enough current evidence (NASA, Spac, etc) to indicate that it was Mars. "And one thing people never think about on the other planets are the Winds that can travel at immense speeds and destroy almost everything on the planet's survice" (quote from PRJ my grandfather - member FRS for his weather discoveries, years ago).

I the human race is so far behind others, we're the last to advance in anything...if we were smarter we'd find a way to manipulate the properties of oxygen to expand our life.

I believe there are indigenous and foreign "humans" and that living a shorter lifespan is actually a benefit for making evolutionary changes to DNA. Perhaps we were not adapting as well when the spans were longer, and our gestation and ability to conceive were too infrequent, so we had to hybridize (?) with others to increase the turn over and increase adaptability?

No idea, but it sure is fun to think about

You've really made me think. All the early stories of the "human" race make so much more sense when it's in this context.

Oh heck yeah, you know we came from somewhere else and like Caiyros said, it could very well have been Mars and maybe some other planets There is just some many things on this planet that we do not understand, like the Great Pyramids, what happen to the Mayans, maybe they left to go else where, and why do UFOs come here in the first place?

I used to wonder about this all the time when I was younger and first learning about religion through the bible, because very little of it actually made sense to me.
I remember thinking, "Why & how did those people live so much longer than average?" Especially when the average person today lives to about 75 years old to maybe a little over 100 if they're lucky.
I know some interesting individuals from a group of sanguine vampires (that shall remain nameless for privacy & protection's sake) who told me a story about half breeds, and that the bible actually tells the story of the Jewish immortals. I can't say for sure whether or not that's true, but I thought that was interesting.

There are stories about angels breeding with humans to produce the "nephilim". So, maybe they were half-bred with something else? Or maybe they were immortal or a different type of being entirely from modern day humans?
They could have been beings from a different planet/galaxy/etc.
