This is probably off topic but since you mentioned it: I was under the impression that the spirits are released when we die. That is what I would wish for! I don´t want their energies being stuck to a vessel! When I go they can go too.

Yes they are!!!! However if you do want them to stay in the family they can be past on to your children and there is a invocation for them to stay with the vessel if you wish to pass them on!!!! ;) As Magnolia has mentioned some have been passed on down through families!!!!!

Although they are the basics, they are the root foundation for any spirit keeping journey... I totally agree... :thumbup:

Excellent post Magnolia! I especially liked this point;

Communication- you make every, good faith, effort to communicate with your spirits. Even if you can't see, or hear them yet, they can still see, hear, feel, and know what you are doing.

spirits are only released like that if they are bridged to you. or bound directly to you

That's not entirely true.

A contract binding may be temporary, or last the life of the keeper, or the binding may lapse in the event of a lack of a proper keeper, or it may be permanent, depending on the wishes of both conjurer and spirit/entity. Such contracts can also be altered by spell work after the fact, should keeper and spirit/entity come to an agreement for such alterations, such as generation bindings to blood heirs, or bindings to spirit for more than one life, or soul bindings, where the spirit/entity might share multiple spirits lives of the soul.

These things are usually accomplished by negotiations between the conjurer and the spirit/entity at the time of conjuration, but as I said, such things can be changed later, to allow for a new keeper or a change in the relationship with the current keeper, with the help of the conjurer or a spell, at the keeper and spirit/entity's discretion.

Yes. If you don't know, ask the original conjurer.
