Just posted in your last thread but I'll post the same question here too. Do they have specific associations or things they like as offerings or do they choose what they like based on their own personalities?

The alchemical concept of life and matter lies at the opposite pole of that of the current scientific community. Science is trying to find out how matter created life. Alchemy states that life created matter.

Alchemy affirms that at the origin, there is consciousness. Consciousness is the need to Be of the Absolute.

In order to satisfy this need, consciousness created life, and in order to evolve, life created matter. – Jean Dubuis

Ok, I guess I'll start. I know you have explained this already in your other thread but since that one will get archived later on, might as well answer here for future reference. Anyways...

1. What is an Alpha Servitor?
2. What are the differences between an Alpha and a typical Servitor?
3. Pros and Cons, if any?

1. What is an Alpha Servitor?
An Alpha Servitor is a complex energy construct. Using all of the elements, as well as an internal energetic system (Chakras, and a full Psy System, they are capable of generating their own energy. They are free willed, and will develop their own personality, as well as behaviors. They are capable of learning skills from spirits, servitors, and even humans. An empathic link is created between the Alpha and their keeper. This allows for greater interaction, as well as communication. They like offerings, and will often become hyper when treats are given.
Their initial personality seems to correspond to the form they have been given, and what the mass consciousness expects of it. This though is not always the case. As they grow and learn, their personality will change a bit, not radically, however they will be truly individual.

2. What are the differences between an Alpha and a typical Servitor?
A regular servitor is programmed with a set of skills and abilities, and can typically only learn in the sphere of those abilities. Everything about that is programmed.
With an Alpha, They have free will, and can learn anything. They will also develop their own personalities. Even the energy signature is different.
3. Pros and Cons, if any?

You get a truly custom spirit, they can look like anything. A goblin with tank treads instead of feet? No problem! A vegitarian Vampire? again no problem.
Cons, they have free will and emotion. And should be treated like a sentient being.

It is more based on their personal likes and dislikes, their personality. They will let you know what they like. Sometimes they know within the first day, in which case it would be noted in their information.

Just to make sure I understand this bit, can you instill specific characteristics in them upon creation and the Alpha develops or changes from there as they grow? For example, if I were to ask for a custom one, and I want this and this and that particular characteristics, would that be possible? And then it would be up to them to retain/improve or change their personality as they grow and learn?

I can install basic stuff like that, however it is up to them to retain it, they evolve organically, but you would have a huge impact on their personalities.

So something that was brought to my attention earlier, what happens to the Alpha when their Keeper dies?

One of two things can happen, either they would die with you, or they could be requested to follow you into the next life. technically they don't have to die, but it would be a loss of epic proportions to them if their keeper died.
