... which one or ones would you start out with?

I'm looking for any and all reasons why one would choose Archangels (and which ones), or different types of Angels.

Personally I would choose an archangel, but that's not for a specific reason other than I feel something inside about them. I was asked a similar question to this by a friend the other day and I immediately responded with archangel without even really thinking about it. I think I have at least one in my future, when the right time comes.

I would have to say that Archangels are naturally higher up the scale than an angel as they are overseerers of sorts are they not?

On the tree of life we have Metatron ; "The highest angelic energy" associated with the sphere of Kether....I have read from many experienced people that even though it is WA this type of energy should not be attempted for contact unless one is firmly on the path of union and pure light. It is not for dabbling or any sort of ego trip!


I have 2 Archangels coming from Jamie One male & one female.
I am sure they will do there utmost behind the scenes to look after me!

Being that my younger life was full of some very hard times, with abuse from father and my mother who had a form of cancer and died when I was nine, then losing my grandfather a year later and making a move with my grandmother from Kansas to Florida, and experiencing some very strange and scary things there, the archangels have always been around protecting me through all the things I went through and they became very strongly when I left my first husband because of abuse and literally pushed me and my children to a state that was 1800 miles from where I was living at, to have me meet my now husband!!! The things that happened could have only been because of them!!!!!

So many years later, I did get a binding, or what I would call a more direct connection with them, just to make my own connection to them a lot stronger!!! I should have mentioned in direct reply to your original question that on the other hand maybe "lesser" angels would take more of a personal interest in human affairs in the current life whereas higher beings may naturally take the long view of where one would be over many lifetimes!
I don't know really......but I am sure they must be overflowing with compassion and would do all they could to help us.

For protection then the archangel Michael must be favourite I would say.
In the sphere of Hod isn't his title "The armour of God" or "The sword of God" if my memory serves me correctly?

I would personally choose a courtwind angel for protection.

You have to bare in mind that archangels are immortals and DA so therefore you're likely to get a different experience to a regular angel. There probably are dark angels that could specialise in protection as well though.
Anyway, although an archangel is probably more powerfull, who says you're ever going to get the full benifits of that power? If you're in great need of higher powered protection/if you're under attack regularly, then maybe an archangel wouldn't be a bad idea, but for most people i'd assume a courtwind would suffice.
If you believe that you only can get the full benifits from a being if you are well bonded with them then you might have some proper bonding to do with an archangel first.
But at the end of the day, it depends on what you are drawn to, not everybody may be energetically suited for an archangel, likewise not everybody may be suited for a courtwind. Some people may want to bond with an archangel for other reasons besides protection aswell.

Actually there is a ton of information on the net about all the angels, it just takes a bit of looking!!!! Also you are right in having your own guardian angels or a custom angel done can be more of a personal nature to the spirit keeper in helping out with your life's path, personal problems and the like!!!! The angels that CH have are very good for that personal touch too!!! 7\

I also highly recommend the courtwinds for protection and if you can, get four of them, as that covers all four directions, I have quite a few of them, because they are really awesome angels and will work in the background and when needed come right to you to tell you what is going on!!!!!! They will come in your dreams!!! Also their energy is just amazing and you will find yourself experiencing a lot of static electricity, which is very normal until you get use to their energy!!!!!

Also yes I would consider the archangel a DA angel because of the nature of their job and in what they do!!!! It has always been kind of a touchy subject about whether they are WA or DA, and I am sure that Ash or Magnolia can also say how they view them as well!!!!!!

Regarding Archangels being DA....perhaps they are capable of doing DA activities but are WA in that they do not do it out of a sense of personal or emotional decision making in the same way that humans or other DA spirits do?
They carry out certain actions because "it has to be done" maybe?

For example.....I always imagined the "destroying angels" of the old testament as doing this in a completely cold and detached manner,simply carrying out the instructions/will of a higher power!

That also begs the question: What does WA actually mean?

If these angels destroy "on orders"...... for want of a better term then they can still be WA as it is not their decision to choose....they are a means to an end....and that would make their "God" DA wouldn't it?

WA is a very interesting subject really as it is subjective surely?

If a WA being causes emotional pain to another being out of love and the knowledge that it is best "in the long run" it has still caused grief and temporary suffering to that spirit!
Or would it be more accurate to state that a WA being will not cause any suffering to a third party?

The general definition of WA seems to be no free will to choose good or evil....They can only side with good.
But who or what defines what is "good"?

What is right or good must change by the second in the universe with all the actions and re- actions/cause and effects of multi billions of conscious beings.

I would not dispute the idea that the Archangels are DA, if only because they COULD have chosen to rebel or fall, but they did not. They're doing what they're doing, following a WA path, by choice, not because they have no option to do otherwise.

I didn't realize that having four Courtwinds is a good idea, for the four directions. I will keep that in mind.

I have a lot of protective spirits (see: my signature), but no Angels yet. I think it's time that I fill that gap; hence, this thread.

I think I need to start with the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, the three saints who are honored together with a feast day in September.
