Hi!
I've been intrigued by banshees for a while, so does anyone have a banshee? Any stories or experiences with one?
Also in the description of them it says
"when they are not being an omen of death or owned by someone not of full Irish descent they can be a go-between for contacting spirits"
I am wondering what happens if the keeper is of full irish descent?

I have read that banshees predict the death of any member of a family whose last name begin with O' or Mac' (Irish or Scotish descendants),
In the only book about that I have about folckore and magic (it's my little treasure ), there's a page that describe a similar creature, but in this case, it's called ''La lavandera'':

I don't know if you know Spanish, so If you want the translation, just say it

If a person is of full Irish descent a Banshee is a death omen to the person.cloudy_sky wrote:Hi!

No matter owning them or they just appeared to the person.

Maybe I am just being unnecessarily dense. So just the omen thing for irish people, no extras benefits or dangers to having a banshee if your are full blooded irish? I'm not being called by one but am curious. I don't want to voluntarily bring an omen of my owen death into my home. :scared:

but there might be danger as no matter how they appear
as long as the subject is full blooded Irish that's a death omen
If you are full blooded Irish, don't get one.

This is quite an OLD thread but I am bringing it BACK to say, "THANK YOU ASH!"(and Magnolia too!) for the most awesome 'Mystery Bag'! It contained a Banshee!! Love her energy already and, as a matter of fact, was just thinking about them not long ago!! I've no doubts that she was meant to be mine!: :thankyou:
ALTRUISTIC LOVE is giving yourself and others what is NEEDED instead of what is WANTED via EMOTION and EGO. Getting what is WANTED, well that's another matter all together!! That requires WORK and involves actions which some times need to be done in unseen natures.
