Glass of water by the bed

In some traditions people keep a glass of water by the bedside overnight to trap bad spirits or energy and discard it in the morning. I always keep a fresh uncovered cup of water by the bed because I get thirsty through the night and in the morning. Now I wonder if I've been drinking bad stuff trapped in the water overnight. Maybe from now on I should keep one open glass of water to trap stuff AND a covered glass of water to drink from?

This is interesting. I've never heard of that before now. :think:

I used to keep my altar next to my bed when I first started keeping, so water I left out for my spirits was usually left uncovered overnight.

Maybe if your intention wasn't to trap dark spirits/entity it wouldn't just automatically work that way?

Water is a natural channel of energy so it does absorb certain things, but what is the trapping agent?

I have glass of water for my blue dragon. Lol dont want put near so i dont accidently drink him lol.

Nope it doesn't trap unless you have intention and transfer that intention energy to the glass of water. Then you can ask your entity using pendulum is normal water or trap water.

that would work for lesser beings but more powerful spirits that can actually do you damage need more intense work.
spirit devouring is also a thing
