Of course, in THIS house, EVERY day is Hug Your Cat Day, as my spoiled feline will attest. But by all means, everyone with kitties, go and hug your cat at once. And then give the kitty another hug for me. 1s

I hug my cats all the time. Especially the little one. She's always around me.

1ak He is a big red cat named Boefje and will get some extra hugs today, but of course he is never running short of hugs.

Special hugs for my Familiar: Bodhi Catva and ALL of my cat spirits, including Cat Sidhe, Masheba, Were-Lions, Were-tigers, Kingdom Spirit Tiger, and Lynx. My son's animal Totem is a Cougar, who gets special hugs for guiding him and keeping him safe!

The only thing I can do is visit Priestess' grave. There will never be another kitty like her.

But the only cats near here are my mom's and the kittens don't like me, moira likes me but she's old so she doesn't like hugs anymore
Sad isn't it? I had snowy but only because a demon familiar possessed her to spend time with me but it left a couple weeks ago so I don't nothing nada

You'd love the place where I volunteer on Sundays. The PetSmart has 9 cats from the oldest local no-kill rescue. A few of them are new arrivals and are shy. But the rest of the kitties LOVE attention and purr their heads off for petting, hugs, brushing, and lap time. And they're all young -- most of them are between 1 and 2 years old -- so they love playing. Along with making sure they've got food and water, and their cages are clean, I make sure that everyone who wants to come out has some time to exercise, play, interact with other kitties if they want, etc.

Is there a PetSmart or PetCo near you? I know PetSmart has adoptable cats from local rescues, I think PetCo does the same, but I don't live near one so I'm not sure. If anyone here does frequent a PetCo, maybe they can chime in.

You might be able to volunteer right AT a local rescue, too, if that'd be an easier commute for you. You'd be doing good work for pets in need, either way.

Even as a customer at Petsmart, you can walk in and play with them if the door is unlocked or whatever. Depends on how the store is set up I guess but all you have to do is ask.
