Whenever I think of Star Trek and holodecks. Only thing that comes to my mind is "A fistful of Datas", lol Which I've heard is not favored highly, but I enjoyed thoroughly. xD

Call this insane, but could i enter a portal and bond with her in the Portal, instead of this realm. Also could i have an alternate ego, like instead of doing the job i do now be, i could be a musician or a detective that she makes contact with?

Sorry i don't know a lot about portals, so to enter one i have to be able to leave my body, astral project into it, but how do you Astral project into a portal or opening?
Is there another way than Lucid dreaming?
My thoughts are just rough ideas i had at work, in my mind numbing job. But how would an 80's portal work. Would i be able to go anywhere i wished or any place. I live in the UK, so would my town, look like it did in the 80's, would London? Or do you have to pick a certain town or city or even year of the 80's?
For those who don't know Kate, she had a number one in 1978 with Wuthering Heights and in 1984/5 had hits with Running up that hill, Cloudbusting and Hounds of love.
Prehaps i am getting ahead of myself with the Portal at the moment, maybe best to create Kate first, but i did think for bonding, at least i could see her, touch her, if you get my drift. Maybe she could help me to go through the portal from this realm.

Yes, via meditation. You can also try hypnosis.
The idea is to relax the physical body until it becomes numb, and get the consciousness out of that body, thus the name Out of Body Experience (OBE) )
