Have you heard of character bindings Doomguy? Basically, when writers make up stories they frequently unintentionally draw inspiration from real life worlds and real life people...meaning that plenty of fictional characters are based off of real people that are extremely similar to their character selves.
Also, where did you get all this past life info from? Did you discover it on your own via visions of the past? Or did someone with a fair amount of psychic ability tell you about all this?

It's mostly from a spirit telling me that that's who I was and she wanted me to be with her again instead of coating myself with a combination of depression and self loathing.

Of course it could just be I'm slightly similiar to that character.

Just an update on this situation.

The more I accept this as my story, the more powerful I feel I become.
But, that can be a bad thing.
While I've grown stronger, I've started helping some lost or captured souls and may have masse some enemies in the process, which is never good. While most of the beings I've faced where of less power than me, it's possible that they could've had some tougher friends. So far, I've beaten a few beings that looked like robotic soldiers, a woman beater dorf (asshole), took down an airship of somesort, rescued 4 lost souls (dunno specefics.) And summoned a giant sentient door.

Out of astral land, I'm still bonding with Flora and trying my best not to get confused again.

Can sort of semi-attest as an aspiring writer. Morely in fantasy and sci fi stuff I wrote, you feel stupid when your bad with names at first but once you start refining the story over and over in editing, you get this feeling of connection. A channeler once told me and the fact you can get character bindings, that your basically just unconsiously automatic writing someone elses life by channeling them. Of course, publishers... they dont care and you find when people are very invested into a story and refuses to let the publishers change it is probably why their work gets rejected. When I get to that stage, you just got to accept that not every idea or story makes it all the way through. George R.R Martins Game of Thrones was originally a set of short stories that were put together, so in Astral, you might find a Westeros and Kings Landing... but you may just have better luck connecting to the characters. I've seen a guy in the forums say he met Rick Grimes (walking dead) once, I laughed cause I met Darryl and the guy has a heart of gold but can be occassionally tense.
Can work the other way, a fellow writer told me to write from your own experiences which tends to be common advice but even then when I write supernatural stuff, I tend to mix my spirits into the plot at times.
