It would be best if you could be more specific. What kind of portal? Is this a naturally occurring portal or one you opened?

I would say naturally occurring, as I have not intended to open one, nor have done any practices that would invoke that sort of thing.

So far I haven't dealt with any actual portals I think, except this channel that I didn't create myself, and was closed by someone else.

I am more trying to become prepared if I ever encounter this situation, before it happens. It pays to be prepared.

So unless I have to deal with someone else opening a portal (which sadly knowing my luck, isn't impossible to occur) I would like to know how to close natural ones.

Learning how to close created ones won't hurt, but since I won't be opening those ones, isn't my focus.

Read some of the classic books on these topic...otherwise you run the risk on skating on very limited information from the web and other sources who have learned a bit but are not expert.

Well if I could be directed to such books, that would be much appreciated.

But I have heard these are rare, or uncommonly found, and therefore expensive or hard to acquire.

But thanks, if I ever come across a book like that, I will indeed take a look.


But for now, I will have to make do with help from here, so far it's worked well for me. ^_^
