Fire Fox- What is it Called?

The last couple of nights have been plagued by images of a fox. This fox is different from others in that it has the features of a kitsune. He is brown with white spots. He has nine tails, but when they spin, they start sparking and turn into fire. The fire then spreads to his entire body. He then glows red and yellow.

My question is what is he called? He did not give me his breed, only he can heal and is sent to teach me to heal, and telling me that is my calling.

Now, I'm not interested in learning magick, but am open to learning reiki and distance healing.

Any ideas?

The ability to generate fire is a skill that is attributed to Kitsune. So it's a Kitsune.

I have several kitsune here, but none of them generate fire. He says he is not a kitsune.

Some other possible leads for you? Apparently there's some legends of the Northern Lights being "fox fires," but I'm not sure if that's your fox or not. There's a few other references in that article, as well. A few Native American legends have cropped up, as well as references to Kitsune, of course, and the Japanese god Inari/Oinari. I've seen some references to Roman fire demons that show up as foxes, as well, but haven't seen much about them other than very vague information--you might be able to dig up more?

That seems like a possibility. I am gonna look closely at the Hulijing and Kimiho as possibilities. We will see.
Any other possibilities?

I'm afraid I don't have an answer but your question lead me on a fascinating path of research. I too followed the 9-tails and fire aspect and came across those already mentioned above from Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures. But none attributed healing to the fox. I only found one article so far that mentions healing powers of the fox as a belief held by some native american tribes.

The body with fire sounds like an elemental... so maybe an Elemental Kitsune?
