Has anyone gotten a conjure?

Here are my notes. I did not ask for anything specific.
HUMAN, A, FEMALE. SHE HAD LONG BLACK HAIR, BLUE EYES, AND FAIR SKIN. SHE WORKED AS A MID-WIFE, AND WAS SUSPECTED OF WITCHCRAFT. SHE WAS VERY INTELLIGENT, AND COULD USUALLY GET HERSELF OUT OF DIFFICULT SITUATIONS. SHE WAS TORTURED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE FINALLY BEING PUT TO DEATH BY HANGING.

I don't know what country she came from but maybe I'll find out when I get her Bio.
I feel anger and compassion on her behalf, and really look forward to getting to know her. It just pisses me off what people went through back then, when most were innocent, or else had helpful healing knowledge.

I may go for another one, to see if they can find a blood ancestor, though I am not aware of any involved.

I was curious who else the community has met through this listing, and glad that we can provide some comfort and welcome to them.

That too, since it's doubtful that it was actually the satanic rituals they were accused of.

Isobel Gowdie is the most well known persecuted witch during these trials, assumed to be an actual practitioner based on her claims. A large portion of traditional witchcraft has elements of her work. You might want to look into her.

In this instance, I kind of wished I had received a last name with my spirit. Maybe I can dig into that further.

Years ago, because my family came from a witch family, my cousin Laurie and I did a lot of research and of course names and numbers are very important....Needless to say we came up with a lot of information, and this was very helpful as we have our own Very 0ld Witch Clan, which because we were part of the Saxon Royality and The Templars, we have a lot of info.

Good books were being published in limited editions and so on, so we went past that except for the Grimoire that we made and I wrote, in the midst of that with the help of Gwen Winter, we created a living history in the our Website, similiar to what we did with the classic sibyls and earliest libraries...and so if you wish, i can show it to you soon (tomorrow or the next day. Let me know.


If is our hope that no one will make fun of our information as has been done in other places at various times, or call us liars. We no longer tolerate that.

This history, and that of the sibyls, is a very real thing, and I greatly applaud you and your friend's efforts to collate information. Genealogy can really make you tear your hair out sometimes.
I have a general idea of my family's European origins (DNA testing of myself, my mother and my father helped clarify which line came from where), but no witchy associations yet.

This is exactly the sort of spirit I tended to seek out, when I was first getting my feet wet with spirit communication. We'd read about things, say in history class where it talked about a slave-owner abusing a slave, and I'd go seek out the slave. When I wasn't seeking out the authors and composers whose work we were covering in class, that is.

The Salem witch trials didn't get covered during our classes, though, so it didn't cross my mind to seek out those victims. Nor did it occur to me to look into the witch hunts in Europe and elsewhere.
