Hey guys, I'm very curious. Do you have any punishments or ways of putting your spirits in place when they r out of line? Not that I need any type of disciplinary actions but it'd be nice to know some for future reference.

It's kinda odd to word it like this bc it's not like I have any young spirits. And I don't think I'd ever have to discipline my guys. I'm deff curious though if any of you have punished yours and if you have how'd you do it

Well , normaly if you have yours rules settled , there would be no problem but it is a good questions .

To put your authority in place , is that you ask one of your spirits (the most powerful and that do protection) to be the "chief" in your spiritual family , that can put them into place for the following of the rules.

There is also the technique where you ignore them as a "punisment" . Of course they will try to get your attention but you have to stay neutral , a behavior where you don't care .

Another type of "punishment" i think , is when one of your spirit doesn't listen to you ( you kept repeating to them the rules , you insist and all) , you getting annoyed and you tell him to stop if not you will not do meditation or communicate with your others spirits . The purpose is to punish the rest of your family because of this one spirit who dooesn't listen. Normally , the other will put him into place.

Eh, just saying I HATE that second method. My mom uses it with us siblings. It's a triangle method, and I feel it should never be used. But no bad feelings meant Nienna, just, had some really bad experiences with it. It turns people against each other. Sigh. ._.

And yeah, I don't think you'd ever need to resort to anything that drastic Aries. Just talk it out with them. That's what I'd do

Objectively, your experience proved that it can be an effective punishment, as human is DA entity.

Then maybe it can be one of the last resorts, before returning or rehoming.

Being still fairly new I haven't had any issues yet, but I have already settled upon a disciplinary standard if anyone does break my (fairly lenient) rules. The punishment will fit the crime as they say, but the best way I can think to discipline prior to returning/rehoming (or flat out banishment, if necessary) are binding them in such a way that they are only able to manifest in certain ways or binding to a certain place so they are not allowed to leave - either temporarily or permanently, depending on the case.

I personally don't believe in halting communication with the one who broke the rule(s) and ESPECIALLY with those whom did nothing wrong. Open and honest two way communication is very important to me and how I run my household.

Forceful bindings can have serious repercussions. Everyone imprisoned will fight them and bindings can be weakened over time.
Also while you could do that with Entities, I wouldn't exactly advise that. They still need to eat, drink, go to the potty, etc. You'd basically sign their death warrant.
On the plus side, you would have a new spirit to add to your family, it just wouldn't be a happy one.
