I have been feeling the urge to find a mentor willing and able to teach me a variety of magick and spiritual practices that would contribute to our mutual growth. To this end, I've seen suggestions in this sub-forum of joining a website called ParaEcho, and have tried accessing this site, but it has been saying "Sorry, we're down for maintenance. Please check back soon" and asks for an access code. As a result, I figured I'd ask around on this forum if there is someone willing and interested, or who knows where to send me.
I've had one mentor who taught me for about a year in 2015. She was a shaman whom I met right after my 25th birthday and who, along with my then-girlfriend, set me on the path of spirituality and taught me the very basics of spiritual practices , helped rid myself of several harmful attachments, and to strip away old religious indoctrination and restraints until she basically told me "good luck, have fun, the spirits are your teachers now."
At this time, I have a particular interest in the basics of magick, Elemental, protection, Norse (Galdr, runes, etc.). But truth be told, I'm open to learning any- and all things in time. Of course I also made sure to select spirits to "keep" that could and would assist me in learning about these topics as well as becoming a better practitioner. I have always felt drawn to Norse/Germanic paganism, and one of the first things I did after being set on my path was delve into the Elder Futhark, so I have some experience with that. Other than that, I am sincerely hoping that I will come across someone willing and able to teach me, because again, lately the urge has been growing inside my being to look this.
