Hi everyone,

I had a look at a site not long ago and found an entity who was specifically looking for a keeper of a younger age to protect from nightmares etc.... the type that watches you sleep from under the bed... he seemed quite dark and I was considering him for myself until I read that he wanted to go to a child...

I thought it kind of strange that someone would allow this?... could it be possible that he wasn't thoroughly black?

other questions... would dark arts like werewolves be okay for children? I'm considering getting a dark arts for my daughter for protective purposes and to get her started off with spirit keeping...
I started with dark arts myself... and would think that if chosen wisely (race wise) that she could have an excellent companion for her first spiritual buddy.

or would it be better to just have the spirits already in the keep watch over her... like my most trusted sanguine vampire?

I would start with the family members you already know and trust. My son is six and loves some of my spirits, though he can only just sense when a vessel has something. He just accepts them as part of the family and loves them by default. The ones who want to be involved with him are involved with him, mostly in dream protection since he has super vivid nightmares. But I wouldn't set him up as a keeper just yet. That feels like too personal a decision to me. But that's me. I don't think there's just one right answer for you. :)

Mmm CH never offer BA spirits to public.

And if it's this listing:
https://shop.creepyhollows.com/custom-c ... r-bed.html
It is mentioned that "They are classified as Dark Arts but they are on the lighter side like Gargoyles. They are NEVER dark around their Keepers, they are only terrifying to intruders. "

It's generally suggested that children should start with WA, but I guess we can ask for custom DA that is suitable for children : )

In that case, you might need to confirm it directly to the seller : )

the problem with dark arts and even mo so black arts is some of there traits tend too bleed over onto the person there bound too so for example if a spirit is really aggressive the keeper mite inherit some of that aggression and volatility from the spirit itself. as u can imagine a young child barely knows itself yet never mind on how too interpret others emotions so what u gonna get is a child full of overwhelming emotions thats normal for a kid to be fair but adding a spiritual attachment is only gonna make things worse. but then again the spirit that u speak of mite be a master of self control and that being the case there would not be any problems so u got to think long and hard about what u doing. hope this helps a Little

yes, well... at the moment I have my sanguine vampire who keeps telling me she can do the job and thats fine... but I would like to have a second checking up on things as well. I guess a white arts would be better as getting used to spirits at first can sometimes be daunting. I'll have a look around and continue to do some research on the matter and my sanguine can help out. If I did eventually have a spirit for her... the spirit would have to be double checked over and able to work with children.

I think it depends on the individual, the child, the seller and what is being offered. I would research the entity being offered and contact the seller. It's always good to know what you are buying and who you are buying from. Some people are naturally more aligned with and feel more comfortable with Darker energies, so I would say it's up to the individual and their discretion.

Personally, I would bring home a Dark Arts entity to watch my children if I knew and trusted the conjurer.

Don’t let bitter, unhappy people drag you down to their level. Instead use their behavior as an example of how not to behave and be grateful you are nothing like them. 2lv

There are highly protective WAs out there. Dragons, gryphs, and of course angels leap to mind. And in an "army of protection" thread that's around here someplace, someone wrote about their butt-kicking fae who takes no nonsense. And Volkhs are WA protectors, as well.

Don't sell WA short as protectors. Just because they don't choose evil over good doesn't mean they won't wipe the floor with an attacker.
