Has anyone had family members , friends or people that you've met in your life, frequently appear in your dream as "Guiding " figures?

I've had repeat appearances of people who I look up to appear to me and they give very sound advice
Or very good scoldings and critisism
During these "scolding" often, their voice fade to a minimum and I have to listen very carefully to make out what they say
Or its them saying something , but I hear them saying a totally different thing, which is actually my own voice in my brain that's influenced and think it's right while it takes more effort to hear the underlying, true worlds that they are saying that is real criticism that I didn't want to face.

I had some appear but only as dream characters, never really as guiding principles thanks god
