Ah yes, I've seen this article shared here from time to time. Like any practice you come across, be it magickal, medical, or what have you, there are always going to be a few bad apples. Are there unethical practitioners out there? Yes. Are there a lot of them? I highly doubt it. Is every practitioner bad? No. Is the art of spirit keeping itself bad? Absolutely not.

Nah, binding to a vessel doesn't restrain them in any way. It's mostly for convenience to the keeper to have some kind of physical representation of the spirit to bond and meditate with.

Yes it has to be with the full understanding and cooperation from the spirits evolved as to what they are getting into.
I have often wondered if a spirit after being bound as free will where they can come and go as they please or do they hang about waiting.
One of mine came through in a mild possession and I asked if she has free will to come and go and do her own thing, her answer was" f... Ye you think I'm waiting around twiddling my bloody fingers" which made me laugh, she is a Irish witch that swears like lol well she swears a lot.
Yes I have read the article a while back.

I see. So in other word the vessel just act as spot for them to interact with us is it? Although they are bound to vessel they always can go anywhere they want and can do as they please

I notice that the author of that blog says she binds Djinn to vessels temporarily but not against their will. In my mind this makes her a spirit keeper along the same ethical lines as Creepy Hollows and all similar bound spirit vendors, who also bind spirits on a voluntary basis. In this use of the word binding we really mean 'link' or 'tie' not imprisonment or slavery.

That's also what I always get, it's a link and kinda contract to work with a particular chosen person, I'm not sure if they can experience the more living world via a link but I have had on occasion just that but when self doubt creeps in you second guess yourself , I have a connection with shadow people a group that one speaks for all and the one is all, that like you to relive memories that I have had, i then gift that memory in return for I suppose work and it dosnt matter which memories but I always went for happy ones, yep it's been a while, I think a wee rekindle might be in order
