Sou Sou Spirit

Hey guys,
I have a spirit called a Sou Sou and I do not know what he/she is. I've tried googling and asking others, but nothing has come up 1am If anyone knows anything about this spirit, that would be great. Thank you.

Adding to DW's questions above, are you sure that's not the spirit's name? Maybe it's the spirit's name, not the type of spirit...

Hello friends,
It was a Japanese Sou Sou spirit. Similar to a salamander. I was able to talk to a medicine man who learned the poor thing was trapped against his will. He let the spirit go free.

Euh..
1. I can't find info regarding Sou Sou spirit in Japanese mythology, thus not sure what it is.
2. It's generally frowned upon to ask third party to check the spirit. E.g.:
