Yup I am planning to get a Kitsune and I have purchased her from CH during Valentine's. Thus, seeking those who have her in their collection, which to know more about their experience with her. I wiki-ed her and have a better understanding on her background before getting her :D

Bump! I recently welcomed a kitsune and I feel he wants me to dig more info about their god/dess, any info appreciated :D
I get impression of pure white fox with facial markings like in kabuki shows and he/she wears beads necklace, but am not sure if that is my kitsune or the Inari herself lol

I am not well educated in the subject, but it is my basic understanding that Inari is not a fox. The fox is Inari's messenger and that Inari, while is mainly depicted as a male deity it has been depicted as female as well, but always in human form/shape. There is a figurine at the Musee Guimet museum in France dating from the 1600's that shows him as male/human shape.
There are very good resources in the web if you google "Japan Gods".

I have googled about inari and kitsune, found some good reading materials, though none explained how the 'real' Inari looked like. Some article said he/she has human form and can shape-shift as well, but some also said his form is a kitsune itself as he is their god after all... :/
Anyway, thanks for your input, cnz! Lately I've been considering getting immortal bindings (I'm mostly pulled to Freyja and Loki...), but I'm wondering do I have the connection to them like people in CH do? I'm afraid if I don't then they don't want to be with me, from what I've read I concluded immortals tend to be picky with who they work with... :/
