Getting Advice from Forum Member - Our Recommendation
Posted: Thu Jul 17, 2008 2:29 am
I know some of you wrote me emails about having received advice here from other forum members and you tried it, it didn't work and you want to know #1 did it mess anything up and #2 what to do now...
So rather than just write back to the 5 of you I though I'd post here too in case anyone else may have the same issue.
The forum is a GREAT place to see what other collectors are up to, what others think of what's going on, get a feel for what it's like collecting, and develop a group of friends and second family...
BUT there is a reason that I am who I am, Ash is who he is, DeeDee, Rhonda, Dove, Gwen, Tammy and all the other sellers are where they are in life... because we know what we're doing, we know what we're talking about, we are masters in our trades and that is why we are practitioners and are respected in our crafts.
It's great to get an opinion, it's great to put a question out there and get feedback, it's great to try out different things with each other when it's on a simple basis... but to be honest to be taking advice regarding the care of a spirit, what to do with spirits, identifying spirits, how to connect to spirits, etc from a novice or apprentice or even someone who has an intermediate education of spirits is a lot like the blind leading the blind.
I appreciate the fact that sellers are not always around to answer your questions, but to be taking the advice of others who did not conjure the spirits or was a part of the spell or enchantment or if they are not in a master's position regarding their level of expertise then you are taking a crap shoot whether or not the answer you get will help you.
I am going to be on here more often, I've told Ash to make it here more often and I've asked the other sellers too to come here more often and see what questions are being asked because I feel badly that all of you are so ready and willing to learn and you are largely relying on each other for advice... and sometimes that's great and hearing what another collector did is important... but sometimes you're getting led down the wrong path or buying things that aren't going to help... and it's not because anyone here is trying to purposefully mislead you it's because they really don't know either but they are trying their best to help.
So it's great to listen to each other and take feedback from each other seriously but before you try any spells, charging boxes, enchantments, potions, rituals, etc PLEASE check with a professional first.
